Android Developer
Mode
Developer
mode in Android.. What is the Developer Mode? What is it’s features? How it’s work? That’s a big suspense for many
Andoird Users. They also use very upper to upper
version’s Android device, but they don’t know what is it ??
How to enable this on your device?? Don’t tense, just go through my article, and you
get your answare.
First of all
you have to know that “How to enable this features on your
device?”
Many of my blog readers are ask me that,
they have little bit of knowledge of DEVELOPER MODE, but the
are confused that how to enable this on device.
Actually this is a secret features of
android, and it’s hidden from all in “Settings” tab. Naturally
it’s not visible to us, we have to enable this manually. Step by step given bellow :
At first go
to Settings > then you show “About Device” option in System tab, open it
> then you will show “Software information”, again open it > here you see
the main option “ Build number”, click 7 times constantly on it.
Settings > About |
Software Information > Build Number (click Simultaneously) |
Then you will see that a Note visible
on your screen, “Now you have a developer”. Now finally you
done this.
With this
Developer mode we can do many things that we have no idea before knowing this.
In this article I will write some of them which is
commonly used.
USB Debugging :
USB
Debugging is one of the common things that mostly used
by Mobile Technician, to many purpose.
This is
required for a variety of advanced tricks, including rooting an Android phone, unlocking it, installing a custom ROM, or
even using a desktop program that captures screenshots of your Android device’s
screen. You can also use ADB commands
to push and pull files between your device and your computer or create and
restore complete local backups of your Android device without rooting.
USB
debugging can be a security concern, as it gives computers you plug your device
into access to your phone. You could plug your device into a malicious USB
charging port, which would try to compromise you. That’s why Android forces you
to agree to a prompt every time you plug your device into a new computer with
USB debugging enabled.
Set a Desktop Backup Password
:
If you
use the above ADB trick to create local backups of your Android device over
USB, you can protect them with a password with the Set a desktop backup
password option here. This password encrypts your backups to secure them, so
you won’t be able to access them if you forget the password.
Rooting and installing other OSes :
One of
the primary reasons for enabling Developer Options is to install ROMs of your
own, like CyanogenMod or something else entirely.
It’s not quite as easy as picking another OS from the Developer Options menu,
but there’s plenty of help online to get you started.
The
first step to rooting your phone is enablling
Developer Option, which lets you do all kinds of advanced tricks on your
Android device, from installing more advanced apps (like task automators and file undeleters)
to creating full backups of everything on your phone.
While
enabling Developer Options on its own won’t void your device’s warranty,
rooting it or installing another OS on top of it almost certainly will, so make
sure you’re definitely up for the different challenges and freedoms the process
brings before you take the plunge.
Disable or Speed Up Animations :
When
you move between apps and screens in Android, you’re spending some of that time
looking at animations and waiting for them to go away. You can disable these
animations entirely by changing the Window animation scale, Transition
animation scale, and Animator duration scale options here. If you like
animations but just wish they were faster, you can speed them up.
On a
fast phone or tablet, this can make switching between apps nearly instant. If
you thought your Android phone was speedy before, just try disabling animations
and you’ll be surprised how much faster it can seem.
Fake your device’s GPS location
:
There
might be times when you want your friends or the apps you’re using to think
you’re somewhere you’re not, and Developer Options makes this possible. Go down
the list of options in the menu, and tap Select mock location app to set up
this GPS spoofing.
As will
become obvious, you need a GPS spoofing app as well, but there are a number of
free ones available including Fake GPS Location and Fake GPS Location Spoofer Free. Get one installed and launch it to set up the
necessary permissions and configuration settings.
With
that done you can return to Developer Options, select your app of choice, and
start spoofing as you like. It’s helpful for apps that are locked to a specific
part of the world, as well as for fooling your contacts into thinking you’ve
suddenly become a globetrotter.
Stay Awake While Charging
:
You can
use Android’s Daydream Mode to display certain apps while charging your device.
If you want to force Android to display a standard Android app that hasn’t been
designed for Daydream Mode, you can enable the Stay awake
option here. Android will keep your device’s screen on while charging and won’t
turn it off.
Stay Awake |
It’s
like Daydream Mode, but can support any app and allows users to interact with
them.
Other
this option, there is many unique features like
·
Bluetooth HCI snoop log
·
Picture color mode
·
Multiprocess WebView
·
Automatic system updates
·
Bug report shortcut
·
Cellular data active
·
Force GPU rending and view updates
Stay Awake |
And many other option, I preferred to visit on your own device
Developer to know about them.
